Dragon Fruit, Hana (Hylocereus monacanthus)

Hana is a fast-growing, self-fertile variety originating from Maui, Hawaii. The mother cutting of Front Porch’s plant lineage was purchased from Louisiana-based seller Spicey Exotics. Hana is known for its small pink-skinned, white-fleshed fruit that tastes like sweet melon, lychee, or rose. It is prized for its high brix rating (sweetness) of 18–20+. Dragon fruit are night-blooming climbing/epiphytic cacti. Hana produces fragrant, pink-tinged flowers.

Dragon fruit are frost sensitive and should be placed indoors/somewhere protected from the cold during winter months.
